DOWNLOAD

The software that runs this site is free. It is released under an MIT (X11) license. You can download the source code and the database, alter it, improve it or otherwise do whatever you like with it. If you'd like to help me improve nutridb.org, then feel free to send me patches or other improvements. If anyone is really interested, let me know and we can talk about giving you Subversion commit privileges. I'd like for nutridb.org to become a collaborative, community effort. This way the results of anyone's work will go to a central place where everyone can benefit. Feel free to contact me at nath@nkinka.de.
The best way to get the software is via Subversion (SVN). You can browse the repository online, or make checkouts:
The whole repository: svn checkout http://svn.nutridb.org/svnroot/nutridb
The production branch (that runs this site): svn checkout http://svn.nutridb.org/svnroot/nutridb/branches/production/
The development branch: svn checkout http://svn.nutridb.org/svnroot/nutridb/trunk/
Tar-gzipped version are available as well:
The MySQL database is included inside the tar-gzipped versions, but can also be downloaded individually: nutridb-database-sr20.sql.gz
Installation: First take a look at the README file that comes with the source. To get a site up and running should be as simple as making a Subversion checkout or unpacking one of the tar-gzipped files into your web root, copy config.php-dist to config.php, edit config.php with some values suitable for your environment, unzip the database and install it with something like mysql -u root -p < nutridb-database.sql.
